Richard Saxbury Obituary

Richard Warren "Wick" Saxbury, age 69, of Corning, passed away on Monday September 24, 2018 at home. 

He was born on December 21, 1948 in Buffalo, the son of Claude and Lucille (Warren) Saxbury. He married Mae Reed on May 10, 1986 in Gibson.

Richard retired from Corning, Inc in 2007 following 30 years of service, he was a veteran of the US Army, he enjoyed raising his pigeons, and he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mae, daughter, Julie Reed-Gleason, son, Bruce (Claudia) Reed, grandchildren, Tyler Pequignot, Cody Allen, Kelsey Allen, Seth Reed, Melissa Walton, Stephanie Walton, and Tom Walton, great granddaughter, Olivia Walton, brothers, William (Wanda) Saxbury and Edward Saxbury, sisters-in-law, Wanita Saxbury and Charlie Golkiewicz, numerous nieces and nephews, and feline companion, Princess. 

Wick was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Lucille Saxbury and his brother, Harold Saxbury.

Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Wick's Life will follow there at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Painted Post.
